Pieces with golden glue
Pieces with Golden Glue
A vase delicate, pristine, decorated with flowers, vines, birds, natures intricacies.
A shelf to hold, support, cherry oak stained to illuminate the vase show strength with delicacy.
A child's eye catches a glimpse of this gleaming beauty not prepared for the care it will need.
Fumbling and wandering with no intent on destination or goal not even tending a flower seed.
So a trip, a stumble, a break, a child raising his arms at soil and shattered pieces blaming the vases tendencies.
Leaving the vase shattered lying on the ground in its broken state blaming it for the vase's dependency.
A man walks by sees this broken vase carefully picks the pieces and the soil and the flower seed.
Places the soil and seed separate to a new pot begins putting the vase back together with gold bringing new life a glowing bead.
Sets the soil and seed back in gently adding water and steps away knowing the vase needs time a calm accepting.
Waits for the gold to dry and flower to grow the vase thinks he's forgetting.
Only to notice the time and patience he put into the work of the kintsugi.
He smiles from a far working on a new shelf, a new stain, a new setting for the vase's beautiful entity.
